About

Canadian Fee-Only Financial Planner

A healthy relationship with money is synonymous with lasting well-being. We can get you there.

Mental Wealth Meets Financial Stability

At Sapling Financial Planning, we help clients navigate life changes, take control of their financial wellness, and build the foundation for lasting stability and wealth.

Our work starts by looking beyond a client’s current financial situation to examine their strengths, challenges, and overall beliefs, objectives, and life goals — and then charting a customized path to get them there.

This is anchored in the principles of financial therapy, which addresses our attitudes and beliefs about money for lasting changes and long-term fiscal success.

What is an Independent Financial Advisor?

We prefer to provide planning and advice that’s completely separate from any financial institution, and based on our best professional opinion on what’s best for you and your portfolio. We find this approach to be more ethical, allowing us to prioritize our client’s wants and needs without external pressure.

That’s because we believe that the key to long-term stability and wealth comes from focusing on the whole person or family, not just their portfolio.

Our Two Step Approach to Financial Planning

We’re certified to provide financial planning to clients anywhere in Canada (excluding Quebec).

Sapling Financial Planning’s Help a Client in Need Program

The Help a Client in Need serves individuals and families that will greatly benefit from Sapling Financial Planning’s financial stability and personal wellness support, but are not able to afford our services.

It may seem like an impossible situation — but it’s not. That’s all thanks to the support of our generous community of clients who choose to donate part of their financial planning fee to those who need it the most. Usually, just 3 to 4 clients, along with our volunteer time, can make an impactful change in someone else’s life.

Sapling Financial Planning in the Community

We’re proud to be part of the Financial Planning Association of Canada and to have strong relationships with professional associations, investment managers, counselors, and other complimentary wellness professionals nationwide.
